There's hundreds of bands out there that go down well at rallies and then there's those that don't. Choosing a decent line'up for your bash is made easier if you get out there and visit these bands at a gig before you book them. Or at the very least, get a friend to recommend one. See where they've played before and look for reviews. You do often get what you pay for but if you're on a real tight budget, there's plenty of bands that will play for free as long as you ply them with beer!
